Terms of Service.

1. The service

The App helps Shopify merchants generate and publish AI-assisted content — including answer-first product descriptions, meta titles and descriptions, FAQ content published as structured data, image alt text, blog posts, and collection copy — intended to improve visibility in search engines and AI answer engines. The App also provides tools such as a GEO Readiness Score, an SEO Audit, bulk optimisation, Autopilot, and a Review & Publish workflow.

2. Eligibility and account

You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install apps on it. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account and for all activity that occurs through the App on your store.

3. Subscription plans and billing

The App offers the following plans, billed through Shopify's billing system:

All charges are handled by Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never receive or store your payment details. Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of any taxes that Shopify may apply. Annual billing, where offered, is charged at a rate equivalent to ten months for twelve (two months free).

4. Free trial

Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged for that plan. If you do not cancel, the plan converts to a paid subscription billed through Shopify at the end of the trial. Trial availability may depend on Shopify's trial eligibility rules for your store.

5. Usage limits

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of content generations, framed around producing complete, optimised products per month rather than raw tokens. Limits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. If you reach your limit, you can upgrade at any time to continue generating.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to: generate unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content; misrepresent products in a way that violates consumer-protection law; attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the App or its infrastructure; or resell or redistribute the App's output as a competing content-generation service. You are responsible for ensuring the content you publish complies with applicable laws and Shopify's policies.

7. AI-generated content and your responsibility

The App produces content using AI. AI output can contain errors, omissions, or claims that do not fit your specific products. You review, edit, approve, and own all content you choose to publish through the App. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and suitability of published content.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Navaal AI. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App while your subscription is active. Content you generate and publish is yours; you grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the App (for example, processing your content through our AI provider to fulfil a generation you requested).

9. Third-party services

The App relies on Shopify, Anthropic (Claude API), and hosting providers. Your use of the App is also subject to Shopify's terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services outside our control.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your requirements.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Navaal AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin, which cancels your subscription going forward. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that risks harm to the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the App ends and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state. Navaal AI operates from Sydney, Australia.
