What is Bilby?
Bilby is an AI mystery shopper. It visits your store in a real Chromium browser and walks the path a customer takes — landing page, product page, add to cart, checkout — then reports anything broken, slow or confusing, each with a screenshot. The free scan is one visit; a paid plan runs it every night.
How is Bilby different from an uptime monitor?
Uptime monitors ping your homepage and tell you the server answered. Bilby actually shops: it renders JavaScript, clicks the buttons, and reaches checkout the way a customer does. A store can be 100% 'up' while its add-to-cart button is dead after a theme update — Bilby catches that; a pinger never will.
Does Bilby work on Shopify?
Yes. Bilby works on any storefront, and Shopify is its home turf. The free scan needs no app install and no permissions — just your store URL. Paid nightly monitoring runs after you verify you own the site.
Will Bilby slow down or affect my store?
