Navaal vs Yoast SEO for Shopify:
which should you install?

Pick Yoast if your products already have real copy and what you want is consistent titles, meta descriptions and technical SEO across the catalogue, from a name you recognise. Navaal starts from the opposite end: it finds the products that have nothing an assistant can quote and writes them — descriptions, meta, FAQ content with schema, alt text — then holds every draft for your approval. Where Yoast gives you a template, Navaal gives you the paragraph.

Navaal is ours, and this page says so. Where Yoast SEO for Shopify is the better fit we say that too, and every fact about it below was read off its own App Store listing on 17 September 2026.

// YOAST SEO FOR SHOPIFY

The Shopify edition of the SEO plugin most people know from WordPress. Its listing describes guiding you through SEO best practice so your products get found by search engines and AI systems, with templates for titles and meta descriptions, schema output and internal-linking suggestions.

LISTING · $19 a month with a free trial, rated 4.3 from 175 reviews, published by Yoast

Where it is strong

  • A long, well-known track record in SEO tooling, carried over from WordPress
  • Templates and rules across the whole store rather than page-by-page fiddling
  • Structured data and technical hygiene handled for you

What it does not do

  • It guides and templates; it does not write the actual sentences on a product with no description
  • A template fills a meta title from fields you already have — it cannot invent the answer a shopper asked for
  • No per-product audit of whether the page is usable by an AI assistant at all
// NAVAAL (OURS)

Audits every product against what a search engine or an AI assistant needs in order to use the page, then writes what is missing — answer-first descriptions, meta titles and descriptions, FAQ content with FAQPage schema, and image alt text — in your brand voice.

PRICE · free plan, 100 credits a month across 100 products · paid from $9.99 · 14-day trial with 250 credits

  • The audit is free and never capped, on any plan
  • Nothing publishes until you approve it
  • Alt text costs zero credits on every plan
  • A rejected draft is never billed
  • No reviews yet — it is new, and we are not going to pretend otherwise

// Questions people ask

The comparison,
question by question.

Is Navaal an alternative to Yoast SEO, or something you run alongside it?

Alongside, in most stores. They solve different halves. Yoast is strong on templates, technical hygiene and consistency across a catalogue that already has content. Navaal is for the catalogue that does not: it audits each product for what is actually missing and writes it. If you only ever install one and your product pages are already well written, Yoast is the better buy.

Do they conflict if both are installed?

They can both want to own the same meta fields, so decide which one writes titles and descriptions and turn that off in the other. Navaal holds everything as a draft you approve, so you will see what it intends to write before it is published.
