Watch one night

This is the visit. Nothing staged.

A real store, scanned on 17 September: the address typed, the store opened in a real browser from Sydney, the collection and checkout pages photographed, the report scoring it 60 out of 100, and what the two findings might be costing.

www.genfulsciences.com — visited 17 September 2026, 13:35 AEST · Sydney · desktop + mobile, scored 60/100. A real store, published with its owner’s permission.

Bilby — the explainer (46 s, no audio, captions burned in).

Recorded 17 September 2026 from the real theatre at https://navaal.ai/bilby/scan?film=1 (1440x900 at 2x),
walking www.genfulsciences.com — a store the owner helped build and whose owner agreed to this being
published. Scan 97qTE8Gaym0A, walked 17 Sept 2026 13:35 AEST from Sydney, desktop and mobile.
Nothing is staged: every frame is Bilby's own screen during that walk.

CAPTION 1: I pointed Bilby at a store I helped build. It scored 60 out of 100.
CAPTION 2: It walks the store like a customer and films what it finds.
CAPTION 3: Then it says what each fault costs, in plain words.
CAPTION 4: Every night it walks again and emails you what changed. From US$24/mo.
END CARD: Bilby — by Navaal · navaal.ai/bilby

ON SCREEN, in order:
  · the store address typed into Bilby's stage — "free scan · about two minutes · no signup ·
nothing is bought, nothing is changed"
  · Bilby opening the store's homepage in a real browser from Sydney: the step tabs (home, collection,
product, add to cart, cart, checkout, search, forms), the clock, and the deterministic checks strip —
"network log · pixels · vitals · certificate · sitemap · forms — nothing here is guessed"
  · the store's collection page, as Bilby photographed it
  · checkout reached: the shipping form and the payment step Bilby stops at — it never places an order
  · the walk handing off, the frame flying into the report
  · the report header: 60 out of 100, "nothing is stopping sales, but 2 things should be fixed this week",
3 pages walked, 2 issues found, 26 facts checked, below the 91/100 average across 428 walks
  · the two findings in plain English — the TikTok Pixel that didn't record the start of checkout, and site
search returning nothing for a product the store sells, with the Page Not Found page Bilby photographed
  · the costing sheet: $450-$1,300 a month at a guessed $10,000/month in sales, the slider that moves it,
and each finding's own range. "Ranges, not promises."

NOTE ON FRAMING: the collection, checkout and costing beats are 1:1 crops of the 2x source (letterboxed,
never upscaled). The crops keep the store's own promotional bar and its product prices out of held frames —
a price on screen dates the film. Nothing else is altered, added or re-ordered.

FAQ

Straight answers.

What is Bilby?

Bilby is an AI mystery shopper. It visits your store in a real Chromium browser and follows the path a customer takes — landing page, product page, add to cart, checkout — then reports anything broken, slow or confusing, each with a screenshot. The free scan is one visit; a paid plan runs it every night.

How is Bilby different from an uptime monitor?

Uptime monitors ping your homepage and tell you the server answered. Bilby actually shops: it renders JavaScript, clicks the buttons, and reaches checkout the way a customer does. A store can be 100% 'up' while its add-to-cart button is dead after a theme update — Bilby catches that; a pinger never will.

Does Bilby work on Shopify?

Yes. Bilby works on any storefront, and Shopify is its home turf. The free scan needs no app install and no permissions — just your store URL. Paid nightly monitoring runs after you verify you own the site.

Will Bilby slow down or affect my store?

No. Bilby never places an order: the free scan adds a product to the cart, opens the first checkout page and stops at the payment step, and the only form it touches is the newsletter box, with an invalid address. It obeys robots.txt, respects hard rate caps per site, and identifies itself with the User-Agent BilbyBot so you can allowlist or block it at any time.

What does the free scan include?

One full visit of your store with a health score and the worst issues Bilby finds, each with a screenshot and a plain-English explanation of the customer impact. No signup, no card. You get three free scans a day.

Can I stop Bilby from crawling my store?

Anytime. Add a disallow for BilbyBot to your robots.txt, or email support@navaal.ai and we'll block your domain at our end. The BilbyBot page has the exact rules and how to allowlist it if a firewall gets in the way.

What it catches

The problems that cost you sales quietly.

  • Add-to-cart that stopped working after a theme change
  • Checkout that broke when an app updated
  • Pages slow enough that customers leave
  • Promo codes and banners that expired but still show
  • Broken images, dead links and 404s in the buying path
  • A mobile cart drawer that won’t open on real phones
