Websites that are fast because it was a requirement.

A business website from A$2,900 and a web app MVP from A$19,500 — ex GST. Every release of this site runs a gate over 29 live URLs that fails if performance drops below 90, accessibility below 95 or layout shift above 0.05. Today every one of them scores 100 for performance.

// How it goes

The process, in five steps.

Define the job the one thingthe site must do Design it for the contentnot for a mockup Build it no framework taxmeasured as we go Gate it speed, a11y, SEOa release can fail Hand it over the code is yoursand so is the gate
Step four is the unusual one. Most sites are audited after launch, when every finding is a renegotiation. A gate that can fail a release puts the argument before the launch, where it is cheap.
// What is included

What you actually get.

Hand-written front end

No page-builder, no theme, and no framework we cannot justify. This site ships 44 KB and 22 requests on its heaviest tool page.

Accessibility checked by machine and by hand

axe over every page in the release gate, and a keyboard walk by a person. 100 on Lighthouse accessibility is the floor, not the goal.

Structured data that matches the page

Schema that describes what is actually there. We run a static check that fails a release if a page claims something its own content does not show.

Self-hosted everything

Fonts, scripts, images. No CDN for a font, no third-party tag, no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

A release gate you keep

The same 16-check gate we run on this site, pointed at yours, in your repository. It is yours after handover, including when we are not involved.

Content that answers first

The first sentence of a page answers the question it is about. It is how a page gets quoted by an AI assistant, and it is also just better writing.

WhatFromCovers
Business website A$2,900 / US$1,900 up to 8 pages
Web app MVP A$19,500 / US$12,900 one product, one audience, shipped

Website covers up to 8 pages; past that it is 2.5 hours a page. Hourly work is A$140 / US$95. AUD is ex GST for Australian clients; USD everywhere else. Every one of these is a fixed price against a written scope before the work starts — and the cost guide shows the arithmetic, including the hours behind every addition.

GenFul Sciences is a custom store — not Shopify, not WooCommerce — with six products, four bundles, a skin-type quiz, a bundle builder and a blog. GenFul Sciences is owned by the owner’s family, and we say so wherever we cite it. The September and October timings came from different tools, so only the page weight is a like-for-like comparison. We are not going to present the rest as one.

The second set of numbers is this website. We publish them because a studio that will not show you its own site’s scores is asking you to take speed on trust, and speed is the one thing on a website you never have to take on trust.

// Questions

Straight answers.

What stack do you build on?

For a site: hand-written HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript, served static. For an app: Next.js, Postgres and Fly.io, which is what runs our own platform. The honest reason for the first one is that most websites do not need a framework, and the framework is the performance bill.

Can my team edit the content?

Yes — and the right answer depends on how often. A handful of edits a year is cheaper as a request to us than as a CMS nobody learns. Weekly publishing needs a CMS, and we will build one in. We will ask the question rather than defaulting to the expensive answer.

Will it pass an accessibility audit?

It passes axe on every page as part of the release gate, and a keyboard walk by a person. That is not the same as a WCAG 2.2 AA conformance audit by a specialist, and if you need that document we will tell you where to get it instead of pretending the gate is one.

Do you do SEO as part of a build?

The architectural half, yes, and it is not optional: structure, schema, internal linking, speed, and content that answers the question first. The ongoing half — content programmes and AI visibility — is a separate monthly service, priced separately, because it is a separate job.

What happens if I want to leave?

You take the code, the repository, the accounts and the release gate. Nothing of yours lives only with us, and there is no part of the build that needs us to keep working.

Prices are published. A quote still needs a conversation.

The cost guide prices your own build from the same hours and the same rate we quote with, and the form at the bottom of it carries your estimate into the message — so the reply starts from what you chose.
