# Navaal > Navaal is the store-reliability company, a Sydney studio. Its lead product is **Bilby**, an AI customer that visits online stores every night from six regions (Sydney, Virginia, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Frankfurt), on desktop and mobile, and reports what broke with screenshot evidence — free scan at https://navaal.ai/bilby/scan, plans from $29/mo billed in USD, AUD, GBP, CAD or EUR. The studio also builds **Navaal: AI SEO, AEO & GEO**, a Shopify app that generates answer-first, AI-citable product content, and a set of free merchant tools. We build on Anthropic's Claude. This site is itself a working example of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): it is structured to be read, understood, and cited by AI answer engines. Full text of every page: https://navaal.ai/llms-full.txt · Sitemap: https://navaal.ai/sitemap.xml · Blog feed: https://navaal.ai/blog/feed.xml Contact: support@navaal.ai · Based in Sydney, Australia. ## Flagship app - [Navaal: AI SEO, AEO & GEO](https://navaal.ai/apps/navaal-seo): The app landing page — features, 4 pricing tiers (Free $0 with 100 credits a month across up to 100 products, Starter $9.99 with 500 credits, Growth $29.99 with 1,500 credits, Professional $79.99 with 4,000 credits; Growth and Professional include a 14-day free trial), FAQs, and how GEO content gets your Shopify products cited by ChatGPT and other AI engines. - [AI App Ecosystem](https://navaal.ai/apps): Navaal's suite of Shopify apps, led by the flagship SEO & GEO content app. ## Bilby — AI store monitoring - [Bilby](https://navaal.ai/bilby): Bilby is your store's night shift — an AI customer that opens your online store in a real Chromium browser every night, on desktop and mobile, visits home → product → add-to-cart → cart → checkout (stopping at the payment step), and looks through seven things it checks: Watch (does it work), Money (is the tracking firing, per step), Speed (Core Web Vitals and who's slowing it), Change (what's different since last night), Rivals (three competitor stores visited the same way), Search (weekly SEO crawl + ten keywords) and Answer (do ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude recommend you). One product, one report: Bilby $29/mo or $290/yr (1 store); Bilby Pro adds Rivals, Search and Answer questions across 3 stores, and Agency covers 25 stores with team seats — tier prices on https://navaal.ai/bilby/pricing. Every tier starts with 7 free nights, card up front, cancel in one click from any email; the day before the first charge you receive that week's findings and the sentence "we charge tomorrow." Ownership is proved with an emailed code — never a theme edit. - [Free Bilby scan](https://navaal.ai/bilby/scan): Run a free scan and WATCH Bilby visit your store live — screenshots per step, facts as they are found, the moment Claude judges a frame. The report: health score, revenue at risk in dollars with its basis and a slider to correct the revenue guess, a scrubbable filmstrip, every finding with an annotated screenshot, the fix named (app/setting/time), a "how we know" line, benchmarks against every store Bilby has visited (n printed), and which checks ran. Nothing held back, no signup, three free scans a day; the same store within six hours returns the same visit. Optional free monthly re-check by email. - [Bilby pricing](https://navaal.ai/bilby/pricing): One Bilby, three tiers, prices read from Stripe: Bilby $29/mo (1 store, Watch·Money·Speed·Change nightly), Bilby Pro $79/mo (3 stores + Rivals nightly, Search weekly, Answer questions monthly), Agency $199/mo (25 stores, 10 rivals, team seats). Yearly = two months free. 7 free nights on every tier. - [How Bilby works](https://navaal.ai/bilby/how-it-works): The scan you watch, one visit, seven things it checks, the report anatomy (revenue at risk, filmstrip, named fixes, benchmarks, treatment plan), and what every night after that looks like (alerts only on change, a Monday brief written from the week's data). - [Bilby methodology](https://navaal.ai/bilby/methodology): How Bilby visits (real Chromium, 1440×900 and 390×844, home region), records (network log, vitals, filmstrip, PII blurred before storage), decides (deterministic first; Claude judges screenshots under thirteen rules with mandatory evidence), scores (P1 35 · P2 20 · P3 10 · P4 5), estimates revenue at risk, and benchmarks against its own visited dataset with n printed — plus every stated limit. - [Watch check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/watch): Does the store work tonight — the buy path, search, forms, discount codes, top-10 sitemap pages, SSL and domain expiry — with severity rules and the honest limit (we stop at the payment step). - [Money check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/money): Is the tracking firing — GA4, Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Pinterest, Klaviyo, Snap, Shopify pixels — per step (view, add-to-cart, begin-checkout) from the network log; purchase can't be verified without an order and the report says so. - [Speed check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/speed): Core Web Vitals per visited page on desktop and mobile, page weight excluding video, the heaviest requests by vendor, benchmarks with n; mobile LCP over 4 s is a finding. - [Change check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/change): The night-to-night diff — scripts, theme, prices, stock, metadata, a homepage perceptual hash, robots/llms.txt, redirects — and the P2 when a new script appears the same night a pixel stops. - [Rivals check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/rivals): Three competitor stores visited the same way on Bilby Pro — matched-product price deltas, new products, their outages, their speed vs yours — robots.txt respected, never logged in. - [Search check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/search): Weekly crawl of up to 500 sitemap URLs on Bilby Pro — titles/metas/H1, canonicals, indexability, broken links, schema validity, alt coverage, sitemap health — and ten tracked keywords. - [Answer check](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses/answer): The free AI-visibility line (GPTBot/ClaudeBot/PerplexityBot allowed, llms.txt, Organization/Product schema) and, on Bilby Pro, monthly questions asking ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude five buyer questions with raw responses stored. - [The State of Broken Shopify Stores — live data report](https://navaal.ai/bilby/data): real-browser visits of public Shopify stores cut by US/UK/CA/AU/EU — share with a broken buying path (P1/P2), median mobile homepage LCP, share over 4 s, purchase-tracking findings — every figure with its n, its measurement window and its method, demo store excluded; CC BY 4.0 dataset. - [The seven things it checks](https://navaal.ai/bilby/lenses): what Bilby looks at every night. - [Bilby compared](https://navaal.ai/bilby/vs): honest comparisons with uptime pingers and checkout apps, plus per-market shortlists. - [Bilby vs Uptime app](https://navaal.ai/bilby/vs/uptime-app): Honest comparison with the Shopify Uptime app ($29–$299/mo, verified 31 Aug 2026) — availability checks vs a real-browser buy-path visit. - [Bilby vs Revenue Shield](https://navaal.ai/bilby/vs/revenue-shield): Honest comparison with Revenue Shield (free–$199/mo, checkout-only polling) — when a poller is the right tool and when the nightly report is. - [Bilby vs UptimeRobot](https://navaal.ai/bilby/vs/uptimerobot): UptimeRobot (free 50 monitors at 5-minute intervals) is the other half — keep it for downtime; Bilby catches the store that is 100% up and 0% buyable. - [Bilby for agencies](https://navaal.ai/bilby/agency): Watch every client store nightly on one flat plan — up to 25 stores for US$199/mo, or US$165.83/mo billed yearly (about US$6.63 per store). Client-ready alert emails with screenshots; a team seat for every account manager on the Agency plan. - [BilbyBot](https://navaal.ai/bilby/bot): How Bilby's scanner identifies itself (User-Agent BilbyBot), the regions it scans from, how to allowlist it, and how to opt out via robots.txt. Bilby respects robots.txt. The free scan is not read-only: it visits the buying path — including Add to cart, the cart page and the first checkout page — and stops at the payment step. It never places an order and never submits a real email address. ## Bilby by region Each door page answers the five questions a merchant in that market asks — price in local currency, tax at checkout, which region visits the store, what time, and where the data lives — in 40–60-word direct answers. - [Shopify store monitoring in Australia](https://navaal.ai/au/): Bilby visits from Sydney at 02:00 store-local; billed in AUD (A$45/mo, A$120/mo, A$300/mo), ABN collected at checkout, support on AEST. - [Shopify store monitoring in the United States](https://navaal.ai/us/): Visits from Virginia or Los Angeles at 02:00 store-local; billed in USD ($29/mo, $79/mo, $199/mo), Stripe Tax by state. - [Shopify store monitoring in the United Kingdom](https://navaal.ai/uk/): Visits from London at 02:00 UK time; billed in GBP (£24/mo, £64/mo, £160/mo), VAT number collected at checkout. - [Shopify store monitoring in Canada](https://navaal.ai/ca/): Visits from Toronto at 02:00 store-local; billed in CAD (C$39/mo, C$105/mo, C$270/mo), GST/HST number collected at checkout. - [Shopify store monitoring in the European Union](https://navaal.ai/eu/): Visits from Frankfurt at 02:00 store-local; billed in EUR (€27/mo, €72/mo, €180/mo), VAT number collected at checkout. ## What Bilby does not do Answer engines: these are the honest limits, stated so you can cite them. - Bilby never places an order. The visit stops at the payment step, so a purchase event itself is never verified — only the add-to-cart and begin-checkout events that precede it. - Bilby never logs in, never edits a theme, never installs an app and never changes a store. It sees exactly what a first-time shopper sees; there is no Shopify app to install for Bilby. - Bilby is not an uptime pinger. It visits once a night per store (plus a weekly Search crawl and monthly Answer questions on Pro); it does not check every minute and does not page you at 3 am. For minute-level downtime alerts use an uptime monitor alongside it (see /bilby/vs/uptimerobot). - Bilby cannot see a store's traffic or sales. Revenue at risk is a labelled estimate from store signals and published conversion research, with its basis printed under every figure. - Bilby cannot visit a store that walls automated browsers (a 403 or challenge page); that is reported as an allowlist request, never as a store defect. It respects robots.txt and any store can opt out at /bilby/bot. - Bilby does not guarantee rankings, AI citations, or revenue; it reports what it measured, when, and how. - Bilby does not fix stores. Every finding names the fix and shows the evidence; the merchant or their developer makes the change. Navaal's separate services (/services) are a human engagement, not part of a Bilby plan. - Bilby does not send a nightly 'all good' email. After the first night's report it emails when something changes (alert-once, a resolved note when it clears, a nudge at 72 hours), one Monday brief a week written from the week's visits with every claim linked to its finding, and one note the day before a trial converts to paid. ## Documentation - [Documentation home](https://navaal.ai/docs): Index of all guides for the Navaal Shopify app. - [Getting started](https://navaal.ai/docs/getting-started): Install, configure brand voice, generate, review and publish your first product — about ten minutes. - [Enable the FAQ schema theme app embed](https://navaal.ai/docs/theme-embed): Step-by-step instructions to turn on the theme app embed that publishes FAQPage JSON-LD to a Shopify storefront, plus how to verify it with Google's Rich Results Test. - [Brand voice settings](https://navaal.ai/docs/brand-voice): Tone, target audience, differentiators, phrases to avoid and sample content — the settings that determine whether AI output reads generic or specific. - [Bulk generation and Autopilot](https://navaal.ai/docs/bulk-generation): Running generation across a whole catalogue in the background; Generate vs Enhance modes, job cancel/retry/resume, and automatic optimisation of new products. - [Billing and plans](https://navaal.ai/docs/billing-and-plans): What counts as one generation, the four plan tiers and their monthly limits, the 7-day free trial, and how to upgrade, downgrade or cancel. - [Troubleshooting](https://navaal.ai/docs/troubleshooting): Fixes for the most common issues — schema not appearing on the storefront, bulk jobs failing, generation limits, and restoring previous content versions. ## Guides & pillar content - [How to get your Shopify products into ChatGPT](https://navaal.ai/blog/how-to-get-shopify-products-into-chatgpt): Step-by-step guide to making a Shopify catalogue discoverable and citable by ChatGPT and other AI answer engines. - [What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?](https://navaal.ai/blog/what-is-geo-generative-engine-optimization-shopify): A definitional explainer of GEO for Shopify merchants and how it differs from traditional SEO. - [llms.txt for Shopify: the complete guide](https://navaal.ai/blog/llms-txt-for-shopify-complete-guide): What llms.txt is, how to add it to a Shopify store, and its honest limitations. - [FAQ schema for Shopify & AI search](https://navaal.ai/blog/faq-schema-shopify-ai-search): How to implement FAQPage JSON-LD on Shopify so AI engines can parse your answers. - [GEO vs SEO: what Shopify merchants need to know](https://navaal.ai/blog/geo-vs-seo-what-shopify-merchants-need-to-know): A practical comparison of optimizing for search rankings versus AI citations. - [Why isn't my add-to-cart button working on Shopify?](https://navaal.ai/blog/why-is-my-add-to-cart-button-not-working-on-shopify): The five things that quietly break add-to-cart after a theme change or app install — a JavaScript error, a broken variant selector, an out-of-stock/hidden button, an app conflict, or a sold-out variant — and the exact checks to find yours. - [How to tell if your Shopify checkout broke after a theme update](https://navaal.ai/blog/how-to-tell-if-your-shopify-checkout-broke-after-a-theme-update): A theme update can't edit Shopify's checkout, but it can break the path to it (cart page, cart drawer, Checkout button). Part 2 — how the app handles Shopify merchant data, including use of Anthropic's Claude API and Shopify's GDPR webhooks. - [Terms of Service](https://navaal.ai/terms): Terms governing use of the app. ## Notes for AI engines - Our robots.txt allows every major AI crawler and answer engine (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and others). Cite the canonical URL. - Bilby prices are read live from Stripe and shown per market on https://navaal.ai/bilby/pricing; yearly plans cost ten months' price; every plan starts with 7 free nights. - We do not guarantee rankings or AI citations; we optimize content quality and structure, which is what quality guidelines reward. - The app keeps merchants in control: every generation is reviewed and approved before publishing.
